Virtuous reality...

...is a relationship education program designed to reach youth as they face the myriad issues regarding their sexuality. Virtuous Reality brings trained presenters and an interactive curriculum bringing truth, hope and vision to the classroom. It also exists to encourage honest communication between parents and their children by education and motivating families to make healthy decisions concerning dating, relationships, self-esteem, and sexual abstinence.

Virtuous Reality began in April 1997 with two presenters and two classes in one school building with all of the kids who weren’t in band, choir, or art class—a true recipe for success. Over the last ten years, VR has taken the message that the youth of America are worth waiting for into 76 school sites in 36 districts in the southwest Missouri area.

A ten-session curriculum is taught in grades 6-9, reaching over 10,000 students each year. Classes and assemblies are presented to students at high school and college levels, as well as other Virtuous Reality events reaching another 13,000 classroom and community participants.

Medically-accurate information on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), discussion assignments for students and parents, videos, brochures, posters and pins, powerful and unforgettable visual aids and stories, and more bring life to classroom instruction, as well as reinforce the message of personal value and self-worth.

Virtuous Reality exists to help bring home the message that our teens are worth waiting for and that abstinence before marriage is achievable!
